What is a Rapid Emergency Response System?

A Rapid Emergency Response System instantly notifies emergency responders and building occupants of an emergency, expedites a quicker response, and empowers people to quickly make more informed decisions to save lives.

Is This Just an App?

No. The C2 Command and Control Portal is browser-based so that no app updates are needed when the system is needed most. Archview Security’s Rapid Emergency Response Systems are based on the concept of a fire-alarm system and incorporate multiple communication channels and battery back-ups. The system can be activated via color-coded pull stations, mobile fobs, or desktop agents. The system is monitored by Emergency24 for tampering, supervisory signals, and alarms.

Who Needs a Rapid Emergency Response System?

While BluePoint Alert Solutions was developed with the education market in mind, it soon became apparent that this system will produce better outcomes in emergencies for any environment that has a repeat population. This includes schools, offices, hospitals, factories, houses of worship, and many other types of facilities.

What is Visual Point Notification?

Accessible on a hand-held device or a desktop computer, Visual Point Notification is a critical element of the C2 Command and Control portal. It is an interactive floor plan that shows response agencies where in the facility the situation was noticed. It also gives access to video feeds from IP cameras so that responders can see in real-time what is happening, allowing for more informed decisions to be made.

What Vendors does Archview Security Use to Provide a Rapid Emergency Response System?

Archview Security uses BluePoint Alert Solutions hardware, software, and processes. BluePoint’s C2 Command and Control portal is integral to facilitating the real-time response processes. Emergency24, an Underwriters Laboratory Central Station, is an essential service provider that makes an immediate voice notification to the appropriate response agencies and building leadership.

Is a Rapid Emergency Response System Required by Code?

Presently, it is not, but a couple of states do have requirements for elements that BluePoint Alert Solutions provides. Many employers promote their Rapid Emergency Response Systems to demonstrate to students, staff, or employees that they care about their well-being by being proactive to mitigate the impact of medical emergencies, inclement weather, unruly students/patrons, and mass violence. This investment into life safety should be reflected in insurance rates, as well as possible future settlements.

What Does ‘Repeat Population’ Mean?

Our Rapid Emergency Response Systems communicate via SMS, phone, and email to facility leadership and other predefined people in the building. It is the immediate notification that creates a private two-way communication channel with occupants and response agencies.

Does this System Help with Reunification?

By replying to the SMS notification, people can report their location, and – during the crisis only – have their location tracked. This allows first responders to see where people are, where they are moving to, and where they are moving from. It also provides a means for people to respond with their status: “I’m okay” or “Need Help”, which enables first responders to get a quicker handle on the severity of the situation. This enables building leaders to more quickly account for their people during the reunification process.
